Grab Bag Wrap-up.

Share
STOCK. jars of life;
Happy BSG day everyone!

Right now, participation is way down. I'm not sure if that's because I'm horrible at prompting, or because there's a bunch of other fic events happening right now all around livejournal. Either way, I'm calling this one as of week three. We'll give everyone a week (and couple days) to wrap up their writing and post any remaining fics you may be working on from week one, week two, or week three. Then I'll post the round up and we'll call it a day!

The last day to post is Sunday, Feb. 7th, 2009.

I'm sure we'll be back with another event some time in the late spring or early summer. (Anyone up for another comment ficathon?)

Thank you everyone!

Ah! I'm late!

→ Confused? See this post.
→ If you've been working on prompts from any of the previous week's prompts and just haven't gotten to those finishing touches, feel free to post them any time during the entire grab bag event.
→ In need of [or are willing to be] a beta reader? This post may be of help you.
→ If you're more comfortable posting your fic [or a link to it] as a comment to the weekly grab bag post rather than in a separate post to the comm? You're welcome to do so.

Hello darlings! Hopefully we're all experiencing that post-episode glow by now. (And if not, perhaps post-episode fic-inspiring rage?) I'm here with week two of your grab bag prompts! We got off to a slow start, but that's okay! There's much more to come!

→ If you missed last week and want to know what the frak I'm talking about, see this post.
Don't worry! Been working on prompts from a previous week and just haven't gotten to those finishing touches? Feel free to post them any time during the entire grab bag event.

→ One to add. If you're more comfortable posting your fic [or a link to it] as a comment to the weekly grab bag post rather than in a separate post to the comm? You're welcome to do so.

BETA READER CONNECTION

I realized last event that we didn't really have a place around here to connect people with the oft-needed beta! This needs to be corrected now that we're hosting a new event! Don't worry, I'll try very hard to make this easy-peasy, lemon squeezy.

SCENARIO ONE
Those of you who are willing to beta read. Comment to this post with the word "WILLING" all caps in the subject line. In your comment, mention anything you think is pertinent, limitations, contact info, etc.
→ Anyone seeking a beta can find the information here in order to contact (by comment or e-mail) any of our willing beta readers in order to find out if they're available at the time.

SCENARIO TWO
Those of you who are in need of a beta reader. Comment to this post with the word "WANTING" all caps in the subject line. In your comment, mention anything you think is pertinent, specific needs, pairings, warnings, word count, contact info, etc.
→ Anyone willing to beta can find the information here in order to contact (by comment or e-mail, etc.) any of our needy writers to let them know you want to help!

Grab Bag: Week 1

Share
STOCK. jars of life;
I know we talked about having an event over the holidays and that never came together. So, in lieu of that, I thought I'd do something now that new year has started and the show will be picking back up again. This format is somewhat inspired by events at lostsquee! Here goes!

→ I'll be posting a series of prompts every weekend for the next few weeks.
→ During that week you're free to post any fics you write that are inspired by any of the prompts - even if someone's already used that prompt.
→ You're free post as much fic as you're inspired to write. Drabbles, drablets, ficlets, long meandering multi-chapter fics, you name it.
→ See our beta reader connection post if you're in need of a beta!
→ The usual rules apply. All I ask is that if you're going to be linking back to more than one fic/chapter at the same exact time, do it all in one entry, rather than sequential entries.
→ Tell your slash-inclined friends!
